Cris Carpenter
My name is Cris Carpenter and I have built rods for 15 years. I love to make various rods ranging from quad to hex and especially enjoy the challenge of making longer light line rods. Most rods are 8' and longer.
My primary goal is to make great casting affordable rods. I strive to balance quality with affordability so people can experience the joys of fishing with bamboo.
This is my personal rod for 202.It's an 8'3 5-weight three-piece quad with spliced joints.I allot two and one-half minutes to tape all three sections.I have previously avoided spliced joint rods (as many do) because of the time consideration of assembly.Over the past year I've taken a different view.The extra time makes for a better casting instrument.I'm looking forward to catching fish with it.
